Long Beach sportfishing boat from Pierpoint Landing running open overnight and 1.5 day island trips for yellowtail, tuna, white seabass and calico bass.
The Toronado sails from Pierpoint Landing at 200 Aquarium Way in Long Beach. It is a Coast Guard certified sportfishing boat that fishes the local islands, the offshore banks and beyond, and it runs all year.
Most open party trips are overnights that leave at 8 PM and return the next evening. They freelance around Catalina, Santa Barbara, San Clemente and San Nicolas islands. There are also 1.5 day trips that leave at 8 PM and get back around 6 AM two days later. Open trips sell up to 30 spots. Depending on the season the crew targets bluefin and yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, dorado, white seabass, lingcod, calico bass, sheephead and rockfish.
