Intrepid Sportfishing

The Intrepid is a 116 foot long range boat with a 27 foot beam, based at Point Loma Sportfishing, 1403 Scott Street in San Diego. It carries no more than 26 passengers on any trip. The boat has refrigerated fish holds, 800 scoops of bait tank space, water makers and a full tackle center.

Trips run from 2 to 16 days into Mexican waters. Open spring and summer trips target bluefin tuna and yellowtail, and longer fall and winter trips go farther down Baja. Fares run from $1,095 for a 2 day open trip to $9,190 for an 8 day ultra limited load. Most fares include Mexican permits and visas, with no credit card surcharge. Many trips are hosted by tackle sponsors, and some need an invitation code.
