Long Beach Sportfishing

Long Beach Sportfishing is the landing at Berth 55, 555 Pico Avenue in the Port of Long Beach, right off the 710 freeway and next to Berth 55 Seafoods. Several independently owned party boats sail from here, and parking is free.

The Victory, 75 feet, runs a 3/4 day trip every day from 6 AM to about 4 PM for $80, with up to 60 anglers. She fishes local waters and sometimes Catalina for calico and sand bass, barracuda, rockfish, sheephead and whitefish. The El Patron, a 50 foot boat run by Captain Phil Ornelas, does full day trips to Catalina or freelance for yellowtail, calico bass and halibut, limited to 21 anglers, for $145 on weekdays and $155 on weekends. The 85 foot Eldorado leaves at night for overnight island trips at $225 to $270, plus 1.5 and 2 day trips. The Ahra-Ahn runs half days for $75 when she is in service.
