Tornado

The Tornado is a 54-foot USCG certified charter vessel operating out of Westport, Washington. Powered by twin Cummins QSL9 diesel engines producing 1,620 combined horsepower, she was originally built at the Westport Shipyard in 1969 and has undergone an extensive rebuild since 2005. Captain Dwight Sawin has over 10 years of charter fishing experience on the productive waters of the Pacific Northwest.

Trip options rotate with the seasons. Bottomfish trips target Lingcod and Rockfish from mid-March through October. Salmon trips open in mid-April for Chinook and Coho. Combination trips pair salmon and rockfish in a single day. Halibut trips push 25 to 50 miles offshore, fishing depths up to 700 feet. Albacore tuna runs depart in August through early October, with overnight and extended 2-night options available for up to 10 anglers.

All trips include rod, bait, tax, gear, and a derby ticket. The vessel features a 250-gallon live bait well and a 2.5-ton refrigerated seawater fish hold to keep your catch fresh. Separate men's and women's restrooms and a microwave are available on board. Capacity is limited to 18 anglers on standard trips and 10 on tuna trips for a quality fishing experience.
