Stagnaro

Stagnaro Sport Fishing is a fourth generation family business in Santa Cruz, California. It runs two boats from F Dock in the West Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor: the 60 foot Velocity and the 56 foot Legacy. Each is Coast Guard certified to fish 30 people.

Cod trips run April through December. The deep sea trip is about 7 hours, with a 5 hour version. The nearshore half day and the late afternoon twilight trip are 4.5 hours and rarely go more than a few miles out. On select summer days a 9 hour run heads up the North Coast reefs between Davenport and Pigeon Point for rockfish and lingcod. Salmon trips start in April and run until the quota is caught, sand dab trips usually run January through March, and albacore trips go out in the fall when the fish come close.
