Morro Bay landing running the Fiesta and Rita G on half day, 3/4 day and 12 hour long range trips for rockfish and lingcod along the Central Coast.
Virg's Landing has been on the Morro Bay waterfront at 1169 Market Ave since 1954. Two party boats sail from the landing: the Fiesta, which takes up to 30 anglers, and the Rita G, a former U.S. Navy research boat that carries 25. There is also a tackle store on site.
The trips are rock cod and lingcod fishing. Half day trips run 6 hours for $90 and 3/4 day trips run 8 hours for $110. The Rita G also runs 12 hour long range trips for $175 with a limit of 18 anglers, heading up the coast toward Cape San Martin, and the Fiesta makes longer runs toward Big Sur with about 25 people. Typical catches include vermilion, copper, canary, starry and brown rockfish, bocaccio, cabezon and lingcod.
