Family-owned fleet sailing open boat trips daily from New Rochelle and Mamaroneck, NY for porgies, sea bass, weakfish, fluke and night striped bass on Long Island Sound.
Sound Bound is a family-owned fleet of four boats fishing Long Island Sound. The 120 foot Sound Bound Princess and the 101 foot Sound Bound Odyssey sail from Neptune Park at 78 Fort Slocum Road in New Rochelle. The Sound Bound Excel and the 43 foot Sound Bound III work out of Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck and also fish from Wakefield, Rhode Island.
The open boat out of New Rochelle runs a full day bottom trip from 8 am to 3:30 pm and a sunset trip from 5:30 to 10 pm, fishing rock piles and wrecks for porgies, sea bass and weakfish. You can reserve or walk on. From Mamaroneck there are evening fluke trips, limited load night trips for striped bass and bluefish, and small trolling trips for bass. In the fall the Excel runs blackfish trips in Rhode Island.
