Two party boats out of Port Jefferson Harbor on Long Island fishing the Sound for porgy, sea bass, fluke, striped bass and blackfish, with rods, bait and cleaning included.
Celtic Quest Fishing runs two boats from the floating dock at the Port Jefferson Marina on Long Island's North Shore. The Celtic Grace is 80 feet and carries 129 passengers. The Celtic Quest IV is 70 feet and carries 120.
The boats fish Long Island Sound. Half day trips last about 4 hours, the extended day runs 9 AM to 2 PM, and the full day runs 7 AM to 3 PM. Fluke bite in May and June, porgies, sea bass, striped bass and weakfish from May through October, bluefish from August through October, and blackfish in October and November. Adult fares run $70 to $115, with lower prices for seniors and kids 12 and under, and veterans get another $5 off.
