Split charter open boat trips on the 50 foot Brooklyn Girl from Duryeas Marina in Orient Point, NY, for striped bass, bluefish, blackfish, fluke, sea bass and scup at $160 a person.
The Brooklyn Girl is a 50 foot fiberglass Carman hull built in 2019, inspected by the Coast Guard for 35 passengers. Capt. Ken Holmes and his wife Barbara run it from Duryeas Marina & Restaurant in Orient Point, New York, between Orient Beach State Park and the Cross Sound Ferry. Ken has run charter boats for over 30 years.
The boat fishes from late April to early December, working Peconic Bay, Long Island Sound, Block Island Sound and the ocean. Orient Point's rips hold striped bass and bluefish, and the rough bottom holds blackfish, fluke, sea bass and scup. Trips include full days, extended ocean or Block Island days, half days and evening bass and bluefish runs.
