Outer Banks head boat at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center in Nags Head, NC, with inshore half days, twilight trips and nearshore ocean trips for sea bass and triggerfish.
The Miss Oregon Inlet II is a Coast Guard certified head boat that sails from the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center at 8770 Oregon Inlet Road in Nags Head. Captain Ben Brown runs her, and she carries up to 65 people.
The schedule changes through the season, with up to three trips a day. Morning and afternoon inshore trips run four hours, 7:30 to 11:30 AM and 12:15 to 4:15 PM. The twilight trip goes out from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. On ocean days there is an afternoon nearshore trip from 12:15 to 5:15 PM and a full day ocean trip from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Inshore trips catch sea mullet, flounder, pinfish and pigfish. The ocean trips bring up black sea bass and triggerfish.
