Calabash Fishing Fleet

Calabash Fishing Fleet is a family business started in 2004 by Bob and Serina Taylor. It runs from 9945 Nance Street on the Calabash waterfront in North Carolina, next to the family's Waterfront Seafood Shack, a short drive from North Myrtle Beach. The public trips run on two boats: the 45 foot Cyclone, which takes up to 25 anglers on these trips, and the 46 foot Miss Calabash, which takes up to 15.

The 4 hour specialty trip is $88 and the 6 hour trip is $98, and the 6 hour trip runs farther offshore. Kids pay the same as adults. Typical catches are black sea bass, grunts, tomtates, flounder, pinfish, sharks, rudderfish and jacks. An 11 hour Gulf Stream trip on the Miss Calabash runs 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for $228. On Tuesday and Thursday nights a 6 to 10 p.m. open boat shark trip costs $100.
