Crystal Dawn

The Crystal Dawn is a 65 foot head boat with twin diesels, docked at Pirate's Cove Marina on the Nags Head to Manteo causeway, less than three miles from the Nags Head beaches. She has room for 150, but fishing trips are capped at 50 anglers. Capt. Allan Foreman's company runs her along with the charter boat Country Girl.

The trips are half days in Roanoke Sound and toward Oregon Inlet. In June, July and August the morning trip runs 7 AM to noon on weekdays and 8 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays, with an afternoon trip from 12:30 to 5 PM on weekdays. In May, September and October there is a morning trip Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 1 PM. The catch is a mix of spot, croaker, flounder, grey trout, speckled trout, puppy drum, sea mullet, bluefish and sea bass.
