Five hour Chesapeake Bay headboat trips from Solomons, MD aboard the 44 foot Rock Star, bottom fishing for spot, croaker, perch and whiting.

LJK Outdoors runs the Rock Star, a 44 foot Chesapeake Bay style boat captained by Luke Koller. From late May through early December she ties up at Dock A at Beacon Marina on Lore Road in Solomons, Maryland, about 100 yards to the right of the Quality Inn. In spring the boat moves to Goose Bay Marina in Welcome, MD for catfish trips, so check the location before you drive.

The headboat trip is 5 hours dock to dock and costs $70 a person, or $75 on holiday weekends. It is bottom fishing for pan sized fish like spot, white perch, croaker and whiting, and most people catch 20 to 50 fish. The boat needs 8 tickets to sail and is capped at 16 anglers, though she is licensed for 28. Tickets are online only, same price for all ages. Kids must be at least 4.
