Two open party boats at Captree State Park on Long Island running bay, inlet and ocean trips for fluke, striped bass, sea bass, porgies, bluefish and ling.
The Laura Lee Fleet sails two open boats from Captree State Park in Babylon, on the south shore of Long Island. The Laura Lee is 72 feet and the Laura Lee Express is 90 feet, and both tie up on the left side of the dock, next to the Captree Cove Restaurant. The fleet has fished Great South Bay and Fire Island since the 1970s and is run by Captain Joe DeVito.
The Laura Lee was built for the bay and Fire Island Inlet, so she works calm water close to shore for fluke, stripers, bluefish, sea bass and porgies. The Express is a fast aluminum boat built for ocean fishing. In season she runs for sea bass, fluke, porgies, stripers, bluefish, tilefish, cod and ling, and there are overnight ling trips on Friday and Saturday nights.
