Gypsea II

The Gypsea II is a 50 foot custom Arrow Yacht run by GypSea Fishing Charters from Futura Marina at 2501 Knapp Street in Brooklyn, New York. She is Coast Guard certified for 39 passengers, but daily trips run as limited loads of up to 25. The company also runs the 35 foot Lil Gypsea, a six passenger boat for private charters and a few open trips.

The season starts in spring with striped bass trips from April 15, often just minutes from the dock, leaving at 6 am and back around 1 pm. Summer brings full day fluke trips from May to September, with sea bass and porgies, usually only a few miles out. In early June the crew also targets thresher sharks close to the beach. In fall the focus goes back to stripers, and blackfish trips run from October 15 to December 22, leaving at 6:30 am and back by about 3 pm. Winter trips go for big sea bass and cod.
