Fishing Headquarters

Fishing Headquarters runs the Catch My Drift, an 85 foot Gulfcraft party boat, from 301 Seabreeze Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. The dock is on the southwest corner of Las Olas and A1A, right next to the 7-Eleven. The same company also runs the Mary B III for private groups and two 46 foot sportfishing boats, the Big Game and the Cob Too.

The boat fishes seven days a week. Day trips go 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, mostly on the reef in about 100 feet of water a mile off the beach. The captain drifts or anchors depending on conditions. Expect snappers, groupers, jacks and kingfish, with tuna, mahi and the odd sailfish at times. The night trip runs 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM at anchor with chum for yellowtail, mangrove and mutton snapper, plus grouper, cobia and sharks. On Saturday night it stays out six hours, until 1:30 AM.
