The 60 foot Drifter runs 4.5 hour reef fishing trips and 3 hour shark trips from Palmetto Bay Marina on Hilton Head Island, SC.
Drifter Excursions is a family run outfit based at Palmetto Bay Marina on the south end of Hilton Head Island. Its party boat is the Drifter, a 60 foot boat the family has run for more than 30 years. They also have three smaller boats for private charters and dolphin tours.
The deep sea trip lasts 4.5 hours and runs March through November. It fishes an artificial reef 5 miles off Hilton Head for black sea bass, whiting, bluefish and weakfish, with the odd shark or Spanish mackerel. In fall, redfish and spotted sea trout show up too. Adults pay $85 and kids 12 and under pay $75.
