Blue Heron Fishing

About This Boat
Family run drift fishing fleet with four hour trips from Riviera Beach and Jupiter, FL, fishing the reefs near the Gulf Stream for kingfish, mahi, sailfish, cobia and wahoo.
Blue Heron Fishing has run drift fishing trips in Palm Beach County since Capt. Harry Nagel started the fleet in 1955, and the third generation of the family runs it now. The 88 foot Miss Blue Heron sails from 389 East Blue Heron Boulevard in Riviera Beach, under the Blue Heron Bridge. The 72 foot Blue Heron II sails from 1075 North A1A in Jupiter, by Jetty's Restaurant.
Each boat runs two four hour trips a day. From Riviera Beach they leave at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., every day but Tuesday. From Jupiter they leave at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. On Fridays there is also a six hour trip from both docks. The ride to the reefs takes 20 to 40 minutes, and all the fishing happens a quarter mile to 3 miles from shore in 50 to 200 feet of water, near where the Gulf Stream runs closest to land.
