Newport Tradewinds books ocean fishing trips from its office at 653 SW Bay Blvd on the Newport Bayfront in Oregon. The fleet is the Enterprise at 65 feet, the Misty at 56 feet, the Sea Venture I at 50 feet, and the Sea Pirate II and Ilwaco Indian at 44 feet each. The family has run the office at this spot since 1971.

Bottom fishing trips work the Inner Reefs and the area around the Rockpile. A 5 hour trip is $100 and an 8 hour trip is $190. Salmon trips run 6 hours for $135 in season, and a 10 hour bottom and salmon combo is $220. The 12 hour halibut trip goes 18 to 36 miles offshore and costs $375. Albacore tuna trips run July through October, 30 to 100 miles out, at $400 for 12 hours, $540 for 18 hours and $693 for 24 hours. Every trip ends on time or when limits are caught, whichever comes first.
