Striped Bass Fishing in Rhode Island

Rhode Island may be the smallest state, but it punches well above its weight when it comes to Striped Bass fishing. The combination of Narragansett Bay, Block Island, and a coastline riddled with rocky structure makes this a striper paradise during the spring and fall migrations.

Live-lining pogies (menhaden) is the go-to technique on Rhode Island party boats, though eeling at night and diamond jigging are also very productive. The fish here tend to be high quality, with a good chance at bass in the 30 to 40 pound range during peak season.
