Hernando Beach party boat running 8 hour Gulf bottom fishing trips and 12 hour red snapper and grouper trips, with rods, bait and licenses included.
Thunder is a 42 foot, Coast Guard inspected party boat that sails from 4317 Calienta St in Hernando Beach, Florida. Captain Chaz grew up fishing these waters, ran the boat as a teenager and bought it in 2015. It carries up to 25 people.
The main trip is an 8 hour day on the Gulf. Thunder was built for the shallow water off Hernando Beach and draws only three and a half feet, but it runs up to 40 miles out on twin diesels at 16 to 18 mph. Expect an hour and a half to two hours to reach the first spot. In season there is also a 12 hour red snapper trip that runs as far as 65 miles offshore for red snapper and red grouper, limited to 16 anglers.
