The Lady Sea fishes the bottom out of Gloucester, MA on half day, 3/4 day, all day and 12 hour marathon trips for cod, haddock, pollock and redfish.
The Lady Sea is a 70 foot fiberglass party boat run by Gloucester Fleet. She sails from Cape Ann's Marina Resort on Essex Avenue in Gloucester, Massachusetts. At over 65 tons she sits heavy in the water, which makes her a steady boat for drifting on calm days.
The crew fishes the bottom on grounds such as Tillies Ledge and Stellwagen Bank for cod, haddock, pollock, redfish and cusk. The all day trip runs 7 AM to 4 PM and goes 15 to 20 miles out. The 3/4 day trip runs 7 AM to 1 PM and goes 10 to 15 miles out. The half day trip runs 1:30 to 6 PM and fishes about 10 miles out. Marathon trips leave at 5 AM and get back at 5 PM, with about 8 hours of fishing 20 to 25 miles off.
